Your school's own record

Your school's details is the record this site holds about your school. Most of it is yours to edit, and a School Admin can do it at any time.

What you set

• The address, used on paperwork and to place your pin on the map.
• The telephone number the council's teams should ring.
• The finance email, which is where anything about invoices goes. This is often not the head's address and it is worth getting right: it is the difference between an invoice query reaching your finance officer and reaching a mailbox nobody reads in August.
• The number on roll, which every per-pupil price on the site comes from. See confirming the roll.

The three fields you do not

The form does not offer them, and posting one anyway is ignored rather than obeyed — the absence of a field is not the same as the server refusing. Where one of the three is wrong, a System Admin at City Council corrects it; ask in the help bubble.

Your phase and type

Whether your school is primary, secondary, special or all-through, and whether it is maintained, an academy or a free school, are also held by City Council. They decide eligibility and tiered prices, so a change — converting to an academy, adding a sixth form — is worth telling them about promptly. It changes what you can buy and what it costs.

Who can edit it

A School Admin. Every change goes into your activity log with the old value, the new one, who and when, so a price that moved can always be traced back to the change that moved it.

Multi-academy trusts

Each school in a trust keeps its own record with its own roll, and the trust can edit them. A trust does not have one roll: prices are per school because schools are what has pupils in them. See how a trust sees its schools.
