Waiting lists, and how an offer reaches you
A full course is not the end of it. An offer arrives on its own and holds for a fixed time.

A full course still has a waiting list, and the list works on its own rather than being a note somebody at City Council keeps meaning to look at.
Joining
The button is on the course page in place of Book. Say how many places you would take. Nothing is charged and nothing is committed by joining.
What happens when a place comes free
Somebody cancels, or City Council adds capacity. The site offers the place to whoever is next in the queue, straight away, by email and by an alert on the site. There is no meeting and nobody decides.
The offer is time-boxed. It holds for a fixed period, said plainly in the message and shown on the offer page with the date and time it runs out. Take it inside that window and the place is yours on the ordinary terms. Do nothing and it lapses and passes to the next school automatically.
Why it lapses rather than waiting
Because the alternative is a place held for a school that has stopped answering while three others who would take it today are told the course is full. A window somebody occasionally misses is better than a queue that stops moving.
Taking an offer
The link in the message opens the offer. Accepting books the place: same price, same confirmation, same calendar file, and it lands on your training page like any other booking.
You can decline too, which passes it on immediately instead of after the window. Worth doing if you already know.
Being sure you hear about it
Offers go to the person who joined the list. If that person is often away, two things help: make sure alerts are set to arrive immediately on your account page, and remember that a colleague with a School Admin account can see the school's bookings and act on them.
Coming off the list
Leave the list from your training page if you no longer need the place. It costs nothing and it moves the queue along for somebody else.
If a course never runs
Where a course is cancelled, everybody booked is told and nothing is charged. A waiting list on a cancelled course goes with it.
